If you’re in the market for a Zildjian 16″ crash, this is the one to have!
For your consideration, a 16″ ZILDJIAN A series ARMAND MEDIUM THIN CRASH CYMBAL, 992 grams, BENDABLE THIN in GOOD to GREAT condition. Very musical, this cymbal combines the A series wide lathing on the bottom surface with the A Custom series “microlathing” on the top surface, resulting in a very special cymbal in both appearance and sound!
“Dave” you ask, “Why is this one the one to have?” to which I reply, “It has a very playable feel to it, projecting a very musical presence while combining the weight of a medium thin cymbal with the sound of a thinner crash cymbal. It speaks quickly, with an explosion of musical sound without being overbearing.”
“But what are the characteristics of that sound?” you inquire…to which I respond, “This cymbal is warmer, darker, lower pitched sound than a 16″ A Custom Crash. I like both cymbals but I can hear the strong points of this cymbal. But don’t take my word for it; watch the video.”
