ATTENTION: Word has come down, directly from Oxnard, California, that this is 1 of 100 of these drum kits produced and at this point, I may choose to simply keep it!
For your consideration, a LIMITED EDITION COLLECTION DRUM WORKSHOP DW 25th ANNIVERSARY “FIDDLEBACK” TIMELESS TIMBER SHELL PACK, in the “ANNIVERSARY AMBER” LACQUER finish over a FLAME MAPLE outer ply. These drums are factory assembled with DW’s ground-breaking, at the time, BRASS hardware, including the tension rods! The build date of the drums, recorded on the inside of each drum states, 12/18/97 and each drum, with the exception of the snare drum, is hand signed by both John Good and Don Lombardi.
Each drum also features a Black and Gold 25th Anniversary Fiddleback badge, along with the sequentially numbered serial number badge for each drum on the opposing side. In addition, each drum has the trademark “FIDDLEBACK” wood inlay, composed of Maple, Mahogany and Teak, running each drum shell’s circumference, featuring the initials “dw” evenly spaced in the inlay.
These drums are most likely the first of the “TIMELESS TIMBRE” drums with the inner plies being such.

Also, the three DW 9000 series double tom stands pictured in the photos ARE INCLUDED in this listing as well as FREE SHIPPING IN THE CONTINENTAL UNITED STATES! Make note: one stand has a slightly bent tube and is therefore difficult to adjust. So this is basically your plug ‘n’ play version of a shell pack; you simply add your cymbals, hi hat stand, bass drum pedal, snare stand and throne and you are playing some of the rarest drums ever produced!
Being that these drums are 23 years old and having at least two previous owners, there are signs of use such as some scratches here and there with the most notable defects being on the top surface of the bass drum shell, where the 12” tom would be placed. The bearing edges are true. Also, DW’s brass hardware had a tendency to be thin and pit. While the brass on these drums on these drums would be deemed as above average to exceptional, there are parts which do have some pitting.
