A Medium Ride? What? Why? Okay, I know…..why would a Medium Ride be considered a good cymbal? Well, for one thing, they record very well and they are non-descript. Let’s face it album credits aren’t as prevalent as they used to be, so! They are also crashable cymbals and, although I wouldn’t use one as my primary crash, makes this 20″ Medium Ride the ideal choice for a minimalist set-up. When coupled up with an 18″ Crash and a pair of 14″ hi hats, you have everything you need. And this cymbal is a great choice for many types of music such as Jazz and Classic Rock. This is model which every drummer should have in his arsenal, having that nondescript, ghost-like sound and this cymbal still retains all of the logos and model designation and this cymbal has obvious signs of use such as fingerprints, stick marks, some spots of tarnish and the like – giving it great character and a played in sound and feel! This cymbal has no cracks, chips or keyholing and is ready to be part of your arsenal!
This cymbal weighs a healthy 2376 grams and has a nice, strong sustain, some wash and the bell has an guitar player splitting “ping”!

This cymbal has a great sound with a nice wash and is an excellent choice for ballads, medium rock, singer-songwriter music, folk, classic rock, studio or even add rivets and have a great jazz ride cymbal! Add a couple of pieces of tape to the underneath for that old school “click” sound!
