Here is the Cliff Booth of ride cymbals; you can play anything with this ride cymbal! It possesses a great ping with a beautiful spread and sounds more like a heavier weight cymbal than it really is! Heavy enough to drive the band but thin enough to have some waviness to it when played! Great for any type of music, combine this one with a pair of 14″ hi hats and an 18″ crash and go out and drive any band!
For your consideration and immense pleasure, a 22” ZILDJIAN A series MEDIUM RIDE CYMBAL, in EXCELLENT USED CONDITION, ready to use right of the box in which it will be shipped to you in. You could clean it, but I would leave all of the character building patina right where it is at! This ride cymbal has plenty of stick definition and a smooth spread to it, having that nondescript, ghost-like sound which “just fits right in with the music” which may be why the late POWER STATION & CHIC drummer TONY THOMPSON used this model and diameter! The bell, or cup, is larger than that of its 20″ little brother making it more accessible and playable. This cymbal has a serial number beginning with the letters “IG” indicating that it was produced in the 1997 run which means that it is in outstanding condition for a 27 year old cymbal!
Less common that your garden variety 20″ Medium Ride cymbal, this bendable cymbal still retains all of the logos and model designation, having obvious signs of use such as fingerprints, stick marks, some spots of tarnish and the like – giving it great character and a played in sound and feel! This cymbal has no cracks, chips or keyholing and is ready to be part of your arsenal!
This cymbal weighs a healthy 3110 grams and has a nice, strong sustain, some wash and the bell has an guitar player splitting “ping”!
