Gone, but not forgotten, and present on countless hit songs which came out of Nashville, Larrie Londin was a figure of great respect. Not only did he play on many hits in the Country genre, he also played for Elvis Presley as well as on the Steve Perry “Street Talk” album as well as Journey’s “Raised on Radio” album. Larrie was a well-liked and respected member of the musical community. And because of his accomplishments, Sabian introduced this cymbal:

a 21” SABIAN LARRIE LONDIN LIMITED EDITION RIDE CYMBAL
in GOOD to GREAT, USED CONDITION! This cymbal’s condition would be described as fairly well kept but not immaculately handled as the top surface has stick marks as well as areas and spots of tarnishing as well as other types of patina. The bottom side, while still very shiny has many random scratches. There are no cracks, nor is there any sign of keyholing and the edge is pretty smooth. The brilliant finish allows this cymbal to still shine and all of the logos and model designations are still prominent.
As for the sound, this particular cymbal has a strong presence to it with a pronounced ping and a long decay. The bell will cut through any musical situation. Overall, the sound is pretty much what you would expect this model, produced to a studio legend such as Larrie’s specifications, to sound. As stated previously, this was a limited edition model and is no longer made. This cymbal rarely comes up for sale as drummers covet this model and hold on to it. So grab this one before it’s too late.
