a RARE, 7×8″ DW DRUM WORKSHOP COLLECTORS’ SERIES TOM, in the ULTRA WHITE MARINE PEARL FINISHPLY from the GOLD BADGE era (2003) in GREAT, USED CONDITION! Yes, 7×8″ (depth x diameter).
More elusive than a unicorn, this tom features a build date of JULY 22 2003 and has the timbre matched pitch of “A”. Not meaning to be redundant, this drum retains the GOLD BADGE, which seems to be the shortest era of badges for DW. This drum retains ALL of the factory parts with the exception of the batter side drum head which is now a REMO clear Emperor. All of the plys are solidly joined with NO ply separation and the “jigsaw” joints of the reinforcing rings are still tight.
This drum is in round.
The bearing edges are smooth to the touch.
The only flaw to this drum is the minor splitting of the finishply pearl at the scarf joints – see photos.
For display and example only, is another tom of the same size which has the White Marine Pearl finishply combined with black hardware.

This size of drum tends to be very rare, especially in this condition!
The chrome has light nicks and dings here and there but nothing which is obvious from 3 feet away as it seems to have been very well kept and is clean.
