For your consideration and immense pleasure, a 2009 ZILDJIAN A series ARMAND RIDE CYMBAL, in GREAT USED CONDITION! This model of cymbal exhibits a nice balance between “tah” and “ping” with good crash qualities which produce a nice wash, making for a very versatile ride cymbal.   This particular cymbal still retains all of the factory ink logos, size and model designations.

The Armand line has the distinct lathing process of having the top microlathed with the bottom side having the trademark Zildjian A series wide lathing and this cymbal is no exception.  Being the size of 21″, these are very in demand and prized for their sound and feel!  Zildjian no longer offers this model and, instead, chooses to keep mindlessly cranking out 20″ Ping Rides!

Having some pinpoint definition yet also possessing less refined tones which have more spread, this is cymbal is ready to use right out of the box you will receive it in.  This cymbal may have been cleaned in the past and you could clean it but I wouldn’t, leaving the patina which has already developed on it, intact.  The sound is a little more nondescript which will help you in creating your own unique sound!

Definition + wash = this cymbal.

The bell, or cup, is more prominent than the that of the 20″ version making it great for accents and patterns!  And This cymbal still retains all of the logos and model designation, having obvious signs of use such as fingerprints, stick marks, some spots of tarnish and the like – giving it great character and a played in sound and feel! This cymbal has no cracks or chips but does have a couple of very small nicks in the top surface.  Nonetheless, it is ready to be part of your arsenal!

This slightly bendable cymbal weighs a healthy 2532 grams and has a nice, strong sustain, some wash and the bell has an guitar player splitting “ping”!

And because I care, you get to hear and see the exact cymbal you are buying!

I would say that this cymbal is  an excellent all-purpose cymbal with a strong mid-range and is suitable for virtually any type of music.

This cymbal has a great sound with a nice wash and is an excellent choice for Rock, Fusion, Funk, R&B, Retro, Jazz, Big Band, Ska, Reggae, Country, Punk – you play and this cymbal fits seamlessly!   Add a couple of pieces of tape to the underneath for that old school “click” sound!
