For your consideration, a 16″ ZILDJIAN ROCK CRASH CYMBAL in fairly CLEAN, EXCELLENT used condition, from the prior era!  Having a trade stamp serial number beginning with the letters “JB”, this seems was part of the 2002 production. 

And this cymbal weighs in at 1349 grams.

This used cymbal has signs of handling, stick marks, and fingerprints, but retains all of the ink logos and will probably shine like new if cleaned up with a little soap and water!  

And while I tend to prefer thinner crash cymbals, this is a model which Zildjian really got right as it is a very musical crash cymbal and even allows for double duty as an alternate ride cymbal – just watch and listen to the video!

Zildjian describes this cymbal as “Designed especially for hard rock bands.  A heavier cymbal with a special taper and larger, deeper cup.  The strongest, most powerful of all our Crash cymbals to cut through amplified music.”

And even drumming legend Steve Smith agrees as he used this very model next to his hi hats in his first run with Journey, in their glory years of the late 1970s and early 1980s!
