a VINTAGE SLINGERLAND 8 x 12″ (depth x diameter) CONCERT TOM in the GLOSS MAPLE finish
in GOOD to FAIR USED CONDITION!
This drum is from the late 1970s to early 1980s, the era of production definitely before Slingerland introduced the Magnum series in the early 1980s. This drum features the 3 ply with reinforcing rings shell construction, the set-o-matic tom mount, six lugs and the Niles, Illinois badge. The batter side is in round and the head fits and spins freely. However, the open end is slightly out of round and has some slight ply separation. There is some scuffing of the exterior finish. There are also only 4 tension rods so you will need to have a couple of extras of your own to tune this drum up.
The chrome is in good clean condition with some minor pitting here and there. The Remo Pinstripe head will need to be changed out.
This a very rare drum in that this era was short-lived and given its size and is highly prized and sought after.
