For your consideration, a VINTAGE 1960s 20″ ZILDJIAN RIDE CYMBAL in GOOD used condition, with a trade stamp that measures 1″ across by 1-1/2″ tall with the 3 dots.  This cymbal possesses great stick definition with a nice spread in the tones and very crisp bell “ping”.  I can’t say for certain as to whether it woudl be similar to a Ping or Medium Ride and it has characteristics of both cymbals and, yet, it is something different.   This cymbal does have a slight keyhole.

It has a more handmade appearance than most Zildjian 20″ ride cymbals that have been manufactured over the last 40 years and plays very well, with a more open and unevenly spaced lathing to it, with a nice dark, fairly dry sound which has a strong Ping to it but doesn’t sound or feel like your garden variety 20″ Ping or Medium Ride!  And vintage A. Zildjians never go out of style!  The profile of this cymbal appears to be a medium profile, neither flat nor steep but the demo video at the very top of this listing will give you a very accurate representation of the sound this cymbal produces!

This cymbal weighs a versatile 2526 grams, light enough for crashes and yet, heavy enough for swinging on and has a nice, strong explosion of sound, quick decay and the bell has a nice “ping” sound!  Pure joy is right here in this cymbal!

While you could go out and pay $349.95 for a new, right out of the wrapper, Ping Ride, but it won’t feel or sound as good as this one!  So why not simply buy the original right here, get that beautiful tone and save yourself some money to boot!

Nonetheless, this cymbal has no cracks or chips but has that obvious keyhole and is ready to be part of your arsenal!
